A new twist on the popular event series, JobServe Live! ‘Keep the Nation Working Tour’…a new brand created at a time when signs of recovery are emerging in the job market
As the BBC reported that the number of job vacancies across the UK rose last month*, here at JobServe Live! we can report that the prospects of finding a job at one of our Live! recruitment and career events are positively scorching!!!
Encouraged by signs of hope for a recovery in the job market, JobServe Live!, Britain’s leading jobs event organisation, kicked off its ‘Keep the Nation Working Tour’ in Glasgow.
The aim of the tour is to match employers looking to hire with people who need jobs. The ‘Keep the Nation Working Tour’ will span more than 20 career networking events across Britain in 2010 and 2011, with a start to the tour in Glasgow on Wednesday 9 June.
Following hot on the heels of a successful 2009 events season that brought more than 13,500 jobs to local events, the 2010 ‘Keep the Nation Working Tour’ continues at a time when there are signs of upward movement in the jobs market. The BBC report shows that in May job demand rose most in the charity and voluntary sectors, followed by marketing, public relations, legal and secretarial.
"After a successful 2009 events season where JobServe Live! brought out more than 350 employers, we continue to see encouraging news on the hiring front. This year, we are happy to return to communities like Glasgow. The event is sponsored by The Daily Record Group and with the support of local businesses and Glasgow City Council, we believe we can help match job seekers with local employers to accelerate hiring in the area," said Rachel Fellows, General Manager of JobServe Events, organisers of JobServe Live!
JobServe Live!’s ‘Keep the Nation Working Tour’ presents the top recruiters from the local region, giving you the chance to get straight in front of the people who do the hiring. Not only that but every event is packed full of free careers advice, clinics and seminars all geared to aiding you in every aspect of your job search from CV to interview. You also see JobServe’s new career tools in action, which appeal to both active job seekers and those who are considering a career change. It’s not all doom and gloom for jobseekers after all! All of our JobServe Live! stops on the tour are free to attend, meaning that you can polish your CV and interview techniques and then go straight to the employers and talk to them face to face at no cost.
