Job Scene North East proved to be a six-in-a-row success attracting over 1,000 visitors to the event at the Metro Radio Arena.
Supported by the Evening Chronicle and RICS, the Job Scene exhibition featured a range of employers, training providers, colleges, universities and careers advisers offering vacancies, advice and opportunities to people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience.
Plans are already underway for next year’s show which will be moving to Eldon Leisure Centre in the heart of Newcastle.
The change of venue means Job Scene will be accessible to even more visitors and will enable more career changers to be able to visit during their lunch break or after work.
And exhibitors have already raced to secure their stands at next year’s show in the light of their recent success.
Professional CV compilation company The Write Stuff had such a good time the organisation is now interested in taking part in other Job Scene events around the UK.
Business development manager Peter Gilbert said: “First and foremost the show was enjoyable, both relaxing and well run. The staff always show professionalism. We were looking forward to this event and will be considering all the future events. We would always recommend this event to any or all organisations in need of recruitment.”
The Royal Fleet Auxiliary also enjoyed the show and spokesperson Celia Nevitt said: “We received genuine interest which will almost certainly lead to future employment.”
Job Scene is an ideal recruitment platform for both public and private sector organisations attracting well presented and prepared candidates who are serious about their working future.
Everything from retail to health and care, hospitality to IT, customer service to security and much more is represented.
Job Scene visits the North East annually as part of a national series of events.
